Emizeer Privacy Policy

In short: Emizeer records a brief sample only after you tap Listen. It is used to identify music, removed from the phone after the request, and deleted from our temporary server storage when processing finishes.

Who operates Emizeer

Emizeer is a product of Eminify. This policy explains how Eminify processes information when you use the Emizeer Android or iOS app and its supporting web pages.

Information we process

When you request recognition, Emizeer processes an approximately eight-second microphone recording, a randomly generated pseudonymous Emizeer installation identifier, basic request metadata such as IP address and request timing, and the recognition result. We do not require an Emizeer account, name, email address, contacts, photos, precise location, IMEI, or hardware serial number.

Recognition history, including song title, artist, artwork link, and time found, is saved locally on your device. If you send an ad report, we process the platform, report text, submission time, and security metadata needed to prevent abuse.

Why we process it

We process audio to provide the feature you requested. Installation and request metadata supports authentication, rate limiting, fraud prevention, caching, reliability, troubleshooting, and service security. We process store transaction data to provide and protect paid features. When the app refreshes its remote configuration, the service automatically registers a keyed digest of its pseudonymous installation identifier, a short masked suffix, platform, and first and latest activity times; the internal identifier is not displayed in the app or stored in raw form in the administrative device list. When you use free lyrics previews, we retain keyed digests of the installation identifier and songs successfully previewed to enforce the three-song allowance. When you claim a promotion, we retain the campaign, time, and a one-way digest derived from the installation identifier to enforce the stated usage limit without storing the identifier in the campaign record. An administrator may grant a registered installation complimentary access; the server retains its keyed digest, masked suffix, access expiry, and an internal reason. Where required by law, processing for personalized advertising is based on your consent; you can revisit available choices in the app.

Audio and music recognition

The sample is transmitted over HTTPS to Emizeer’s private recognition service and may be processed by third-party music-recognition providers solely to find a match. Uploaded audio is held in a temporary file and deleted after the recognition request completes, including when no match is found or an error occurs. We do not add the audio itself to your history.

Premium lyrics

When a Plus subscriber asks to view lyrics, Emizeer sends the recognized song title, artist, and optional album—not the microphone recording—to the configured lyrics provider to locate a matching text or synchronized version. Lyrics results and no-match responses are cached by normalized song metadata to improve speed and avoid repeated provider requests. The cache is not tied to your name and may be retained for up to 180 days. External lyric-source searches open third-party websites governed by their own privacy practices.

Advertising and consent

When advertising is enabled for free users, Google Mobile Ads and its partners may process device or advertising identifiers, IP-derived approximate location, consent signals, ad interactions, and diagnostics to deliver, measure, secure, or—only where permitted by your choice—personalize ads. Emizeer uses Google’s consent tools where required and provides an advertising privacy choices entry point when Google indicates one is available. Plus subscribers do not receive Emizeer ads while their verified entitlement is active.

Subscriptions

Apple App Store or Google Play processes subscription purchases and payment details. Emizeer sends a purchase token or transaction identifier to its server and the applicable store only to verify entitlement, prevent receipt reuse, restore access, and determine expiry. Sharing and external services

We do not sell personal information. We disclose data only to infrastructure, recognition, advertising, security, and store-verification providers needed to operate the requested feature, or when required by law. Optional music-destination links and external policy links open services governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

Retention and security

Audio is deleted as described above. Local history remains until you clear it or remove the app. Lyrics-preview counters, complimentary-access digests, verified entitlement, promotion-claim digests, hashed purchase-linking records, configuration audits, security logs, and reports are retained only as long as reasonably needed for access, compliance, security, dispute resolution, and fraud prevention. We use HTTPS, access controls, limited-purpose identifiers, request limits, and restricted administrative access, but no system can guarantee absolute security.

Your controls and rights

You can deny microphone access, cancel before submission, clear local history, change available advertising privacy choices, report an ad, manage a subscription in your store account, or uninstall Emizeer. Ordinary recognition does not require a subscription. Depending on your location, you may also request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or a copy of applicable personal information.

Because Emizeer has no user accounts, requests may require the limited diagnostics needed to locate relevant anonymous records. See the data deletion instructions or email [email protected].

Children and international processing

Emizeer is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect account information from children. If we learn that a child provided personal information contrary to applicable law, we will delete it. Service providers may process data in countries other than yours subject to appropriate legal safeguards.
